This video is from the 2021-2022 UNC Tar Heel Basketball Season. UNC competed in the NCAA tournament and finished as the Runner-Up in a miraculous 8-seed tournament run. Head Coach Hubert Davis had an incredible first season as the Tar Heels head coach finishing 2nd in the ACC and 29-10 overall and 15-5 in the ACC. Unfortunately, the heels fell to Virginia Tech in the Semi-Finals of the ACC tournament. However, the Heels did make the NCAA tournament as an 8 seed. After beating Marquette, an overtime win over Baylor, UCLA, Saint Peters, and DOOK. The Heels found themselves competing for their 7th banner but ultimately came up short after blowing a 16-point lead over Kansas.

On April 2, 2022, the North Carolina Tar Heels and Duke Blue Devils met in the NCAA Tournament for the first time ever. It just so happened to take place on basketball’s biggest stage – the Final Four. It also just so happened to be Coach K’s final game of his long and successful career.

Caleb Love hit what will become one of the most iconic shots in UNC history to help seal the victory, while Armando Bacot had a double-double with 11 points and 21 rebounds. Coach Pac Kilby and host Isaac Schade, who were both in attendance at the game, take you on a journey back into the game to re-live every gut-wrenching moment.

In his last college basketball game, Mike Krzyzewski and the Duke Blue Devils faced off against rivals UNC Tar Heels in the Final Four. Paolo Bnachero explains what it was like playing in that game, and what it was like messing up in that game.

The 2022-23 AP preseason men’s basketball poll was released earlier this week. The North Carolina Tar Heels sit alone atop the poll for the 10th time in program history. This breaks a tie with Duke for the most all-time preseason No. 1 rankings. UNC has made the Final Four in four of the nine previous season where they were ranked preseason No. 1.

Rounding out the AP top 10 is Gonzaga, Houston, Kentucky, Baylor, Kansas, Duke, UCLA, Creighton, and Arkansas.
