The Miami Hurricanes defended their home court with a resounding 85-57 win over North Carolina. Isaiah Wong led all scorers with 25 points in the game, and added 8 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals in the win. Kameron McGusty notched a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds, and added 4 assists and 4 steals, while Sam Waardenburg scored 21 points on 7-9 shooting that included 5-6 from 3-point land. Armando Bacot was the Lone Tar Heel in double-digits with 15 points and he secured 12 rebounds for yet another double-double.

The #20 Notre Dame Fighting Irish topped #21 North Carolina, 70-65 in ACC Women’s Basketball play. Dara Mabrey led Notre Dame with 24 points. Sonia Citron had a double-double with 12 points / 10 rebounds, and Maya Dodson also delivered a double-double with 10 points / 11 rebouns in the win for the Irish. Deja Kelly led the Tar Heels with 22 points and 5 assists in the loss.

Despite North Carolina only having five more turnovers than Notre Dame, the Irish outscored UNC 22-9 in points off turnovers. Notre Dame senior Dara Mabrey had a huge game, going off of 24 points and hitting on 6-13 three-pointers. Sonia Citron had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds, while Maya Dodson had a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
