Appalachian State vs. North Carolina: The UNC Tar Heels bounced back nicely with a 70-50 win at home over Appalachian State. Four players scored in double figures for the Heels, and Armando Bacot and Brady Manek each posted double-doubles. Bacot scored a game-high 16 points on 7-of-9 shooting with 10 rebounds and Manek scored 11 and grabbed 11 boards in the win. R.J. Davis added 15 points on 7-of-10 shooting and Caleb Love scored 11 for Carolina. The UNC defense held the Mountaineers to 31% shooting from the floor, including 4-of-30 from three-point range.

The #25 North Carolina Tar Heels went on the road to Boston and beat the Boston College Eagles, 76-73 in ACC Women’s Basketball play. Carlie Littlefield led the Tar Heels with 22 points in the win. Deja Kelly scored 19 and Eva Hodgson added 15 with 6 assists in the win. Cameron Swartz and Marnelle Garraud scored 20 each for the Eagles.
