UNC Wilmington vs. Pittsburgh: The Pitt Panthers earned their first win of the season with a 59-51 victory at home over UNC Wilmington. It was a balanced scoring effort for the Panthers, led by Femi Odukale, who put up 15 points with 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Pitt shot 43% from the field and held UNCW to just 29% from the floor and 26% from behind the 3-point line. John Hugley added 13 points and 11 rebounds on the win.

North Carolina big man Armando Bacot dominated the paint in UNC’s 94-83 win at College of Charleston on Tuesday. Bacot was unstoppable inside the paint as he put up a career-high 24 points on 10-of-12 shooting and added 12 rebounds, 3 assists and 6 blocked shots in the tough road win. CHARLESTON, S.C.—First-year coach Hubert Davis thinks his North Carolina program took a huge step forward at Charleston. Not that he hadn’t cursed his decision to play the resourceful Cougars along the way.

Armando Bacot scored a career-high 24 points, tied his career best with six blocks and added 12 rebounds as 18th-ranked Tar Heels rallied in the second half to beat Charleston 94-83 on Tuesday night.

Gardner-Webb vs. Duke: The Duke Blue Devils cruised past the Gardner-Webb Runnin’ Bulldogs, 92-52. Six Blue Devils scored in double-figures led by freshman Trevor Keels, who scored 18 points to go along with 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. Wendell Moore Jr. chipped in 14, Jeremy Roach and Paolo Banchero each had 10.
