Reenactment of President James K. Polk’s Visit to Chapel Hill
In 2008, the Preservation Society of Chapel HIll sponsored a reenactment of President James K. Polk’s return to Chapel Hill. Polk studied at the University of North Carolina and graduated in 1818.
