Welcome to beautiful Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The town of Chapel Hill is best known, though, as the home of the University of North Carolina. Chartered in 1789, UNC is one of the oldest state universities in the nation. It boosts a population of nearly 30,000 students. As soon as you arrive in Chapel Hill, you realize this is the quintessential college town. Great eateries are on every street corner. Bars and stores are dotted throughout town, but everything exists to support the university. Walk across campus and you’ll be delighted by the mixture of architecture, libraries, dormitories, and iconic landmarks. From the old well in the center of campus to the bell tower near the student union to Kenan Stadium, home of the UNC Tarheels, we’re thrilled to showcase the beauty and splendor of both Chapel Hill and UNC. Just one visit and you’ll agree with everyone who comes here—this truly is the Southern part of Heaven.
