North Carolina vs Syracuse: Theo Pinson scored a career-high 23 points and Joel Berry came up with a clutch steal and bucket to give the No. 10 Tar Heels the lead for good as UNC topped Syracuse, 78-74. Frank Howard scored 23 points to help the Orange comeback from a double-digit deficit. Berry scored 18 points for UNC.
