The North Carolina Tar Heels beat the Duke Blue Devils 79-70 behind a 21-point performance from freshman Coby White. Kenny Williams adds 18 points on UNC’s senior night. RJ Barrett leads Duke with 26 points while Cam Reddish adds 23 points in the loss. Marques Bolden goes down in the 1st half with a left leg injury leaving Duke shorthanded.

Barrett has no first step, and doesn’t change directions well. And all NBA players are good in transition. I really don’t see anything special. But I wish him luck.
Wish we (UNC) could've done more in the post season that year. Obviously, one wishes for this every year a Nat Ch isn't won, but we could've gone to the FF. Other strong "shoulda-coulda" years were Kendall Marshall's last year, the famous 1998 team with Vince Carter and company. And many more, of course. Tyler H's Junior year, etc.
….and you know that next Friday night they mention at the end, when they played in the ACC Semi's, it took every thing Zion had in him, over 30 points, for Duke to eeek by, by one little point. UNC lead most of that game also, and had a couple bounces gone the right way at the end of that game, UNC would swept them, and I think they would have beaten them both times in the regular season as well. The 18 point thumping in Durham, was just that, they were playing on all cylinders that night….and I don't think Zion not getting hurt would have stopped them. It might have been a better game, closer, but I think the Heels still woulda won.
Notice who the last three people were to touch the ball in those final few seconds…the three seniors on senior day! Williams to Johnson to Maye!

I already knew the outcome but I was just as pumped seeing this as I was that night. When Coby missed that 3 I was all fuck. When Luke kicked it to Kenny and he nailed it I jumped up screaming. It's only 4am who cares.

Duke fans. We get it. Zion is awesome. We also know WITH him you have a very good chance to win it all. But can we please stop discrediting what UNC is doing? The argument duke fans have is that with Zion UNC wouldn't stand a chance. You do realize that you're basically saying Duke needs 3 NBA lottery picks to beat UNC because 2 just won't cut it. The same UNC team that has a former walk on in Luke Maye, Cam Johnson who was not highly recruited and was a 3 star out of high school, Kenny Williams was a 3 star. Neither Kenny or Cam were in the Top 100. Do I need to talk about Garrison Brooks as well? There is no denying how talented Duke is WITH Zion…anyone whos does not think they can win it all without him is just being silly. But to continue to discredit what UNC is doing this year is just crazy. "They only lost by single digits"….you're right. That does tell me something. It tells me they lost… The fact that Cam Reddish and Barrett took over 50 shots between the two of them should tell YOU something. I said it at half time. The game was going to turn into UNC vs RJ Barrett and Cam Reddish and it did. Are we also going to ignore the fact that Ty Lawson missed several games down the stretch and even a game or 2 in the tournament the year they won the national championship in 09. Now people are saying….oh well…Boldin was out this game. Well Boldin sucks. If you can say that then I can say Sterling Manley is out and so is Rechon Black who actually gives UNC solid minutes off the bench.
