The North Carolina Tar Heels opened their season with a win at home over the Syracuse Orange, 31-6. The Tar Heels defense led the way, tallying 7 sacks in the win. Quarterback Sam Howell threw for 295 yards and 1 touchdown, and running back Javonte Williams rushed for 3 touchdowns.

Syracuse's coach isn't a good recruiter apparently.
Syracuse’s offense was atrocious. Didn’t help their defense out one bit. Defense was stellar though, just got wore out from back to back to back 3 and outs by their offense. Offense left 24 points on the field in the first half. 2 dropped td passes, one wide open but overthrown, and a missed fg from one of the best kickers in the country…. Get that shit together Cuse!

I remember when syracuse use to play miami, vt, clemson, virginia, and the rest and be competetive my my how far this program has fallen sad to see.

Syracuse quarterback seems to not trust his offense, doesn't know how to throw the ball away, doesn't know how to let his receivers make plays. Hopefully they figure it out.
