UNC's Incoming Basketball Freshman Class Will Make Them a Problem in The ACC THIS YEAR!

UNC has an absolutely loaded incoming freshman Class. Caleb Love, Day’Ron Sharpe, RJ Davis, Walker Kessler, Puff Johnson and More! They are going to be a problem in the ACC next year for Coach Roy Williams. Stay Tuned! After an offseason of uncertainty and a delayed start to the 2020-21 college basketball season, North Carolina is set to open preseason practice on Wednesday with an influx of talent courtesy of the nation’s No. 2 recruiting class.

Roy Williams welcomes a balanced six-man class, consisting of five-star point guard Caleb Love (No. 14 overall), five-star forwards Day’Ron Sharpe (No. 15) and Walker Kessler (No. 22), four- star combo guard R.J. Davis (No. 47), and four-star wings Puff Johnson (No. 65) and Kerwin Walton (No. 123).

Projected lottery pick Cole Anthony, veteran Brandon Robinson and grad transfer Christian Keeling have departed, leaving a glaring void in UNC’s backcourt. Veterans Andrew Platek and Leaky Black are available to run Williams’s up-tempo offense as needed, although neither possess the elite-level scoring at the guard positions. Love and Davis will immediately address that concern. “Those are two players that can really score the basketball,” second-team All-ACC forward Garrison Brooks told Inside Carolina. “They’re both really good scorers. I think Caleb is a little bit more of an at-the-rim kind of guy. He can get the ball to the rim because he’s bigger than R.J. Both of them are really fast. Really fast getting the ball out in transition and getting the ball to teammates. It’s going to be interesting to see how they work together because they’re going to be really good together.” unc basketball
