North Carolina vs Virginia: For the seventh consecutive time, the Cavaliers defeated the Tar Heels, this time 60-48 in Charlottesville. The Virginia defense really made it difficult for North Carolina to score. UVA held UNC to 34.5% shooting for the game and just 2-16 shooting from behind the three-point line. Jay Huff had a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Sam Hauser added 17 points, five rebounds, and two assists. For UNC, no player scored in double-digits and Walker Kessler was the leading scorer with nine points.
