The North Carolina Tar Heels controlled this edition of their great rivalry with the Duke Blue Devils from start to finish, winning 91-73. Armando Bacot, Caleb Love andKerwin Walton each scored 18 points to lead the Tar Heels to victory. For the Blue Devils, Mark Williams led the team in scoring with 18 points, DJ Steward added 16 and Matthew Hurt had 14 points.

Much needed win for UNC. Beating duke is never taken lightly. Good game for garrison Brooks. He needed this game for his own confidence. He's had a rough couple years. I saw a few tears coming out of his eyes. UNC n duke will once again rule the ACC soon. Did I just include duke? We 're not done making instant classics. Go Heels!
