UNC PG Ed Cota | Unsung Heroes of the ACC

One thing North Carolina basketball is known for is producing elite point guards. With names like Phil Ford, Ty Lawson, Kenny Smith, and Raymond Felton, it’s easy to get lost in the mix. Ed Cota led the ACC in assists for 4 straight seasons and is the only player in Carolina history to reach the 1,000 assist milestone. Playing with Antwan Jamison, Vince Carter, and later on, Joe Forte, it was easy to get overlooked, but by the end of his time as a Tar Heel, Cota had become the 1st college basketball player to record 1,000 points, 1,000 assists and, 500 rebounds in a career. Check out Ed Cota’s highlights in this installment of Unsung Heroes of the ACC.
