In a game that went to overtime, the Pitt Panthers downed the North Carolina Tar Heels, 30-23. Pitt improves to 8-2 on the season with the win. Panthers quarterback Kenny Pickett threw for 346 yards and 3 touchdowns in the win. For the Tar Heels, quarterback Sam Howell threw for 296 yards and 2 touchdowns and rushed for 28 yards and a touchdown.

They left points on the field and nearly blew what should have been an easy win. Two or three missed field goals and Pickett needs to be more decisive about pulling it down and taking the run. But the Pitt defense won this game.
The poor announcers probably cried the whole way home.

UNC needs a coaching change, worse set of plays I've ever seen on the last 2 possession. I feel bad for the players how they clawed back only to have horrible plays called when it mattered

Pitt played great in 1st half and terrible in the 2nd and the exact opposite for UNC. Can’t believe Pitt pulled it off. UNC is always a thorn in their sides
