The NC State Wolfpack defeated rival North Carolina, 72-45, handing the Tar Heels their first loss of the season. Elissa Cunane led the Wolfpack with 19 points, on 6-8 shooting, and 13 rebounds. Eleven Wolfpack players scored in the game creating a balanced attack. Deja Kelly scored 21 points and Alyssa Ustby scored 12 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Tar Heels.
