You know something a UNC fan never mentions? The longest running scandal at a major university in history. For 18 years, UNC gave students and athletes grades to qualify for sports participation, and the NCAA let them off. Don't ever associate the words class, integrity, or scholar-athlete, with chapel hill
Of course that game was about Coach K. He made it about himself when he announced his retirement at the beginning of the season. Whether it is what he wanted or not, he had to know that this entire season would be about him. I tend to believe that he feels like he deserves to be praised at every stop, every game, every "last time here" moment, and this is exactly what he wanted.
Those dignified guests in attendance were instrumental in offering superb lavish pre game ceremonies honoring this highly distinguished and magnificent coach . Everyone of those accolades, encomiums, and celebratory gestures increased the value of the game for North Carolina's players and fans. Beating Duke on a day like this makes Carolina fans appreciate Duke that much more. IT MADE THIS GAME INTO THE ULTIMATE REGULAR SEASON SOUVENIR FOR THE TAR HEELS !!

The thing that irked me most about the game (as a Tarheel fan), was that it was actually senior day. And Baker, who gave up his redshirt for a few minutes of play, didn't even see the floor. Combine that with his speech after the game, and the coaches in the handshake line, just reinforces my hatred for all things Duke.

We'll see what happens to Duke in the next 10- 15 years, to know how good coach K was.

Hubbert Davis sent out his kids after the win because he knew it was about the kids and not one person. That's the Carolina way and the difference in both programs! Duke is about ME . The Duke coaching staff are a bunch of sore losers not shaking Coach Davis hand at the end of the game was totally disrespectful to me it felt like they thought we would jus come in and lay down because it was Coach Ks last game in Camron and not shaking Coach Davis hand sent a message to tht they were mad because we didn't lay down we play for the name on the front of the jersey not the name on the back of the jersey win with class lose with class
Lousy coach… big ego… who announces retirement a year ahead….wants all the attention and publicity… glad he's going out a loser.. He acts like he is so holier than thou… not a clean program like he wants you to think…

I posted this on another video but it bears repeating, after hearing the "hype" excuse by Parrish.
Save the excuses Duke fans (and media pundits who ALL had Duke winning a game in which they were already favored by double digits). You were leading a good portion of a home game and then lost it to a team that played the entire second with all five of starters never coming out to rest and this was already a short bench UNC team. Give credit where credit is due. UNC came out with energy and precision passing (very few turnovers). That energy brought a much better defense as well. All that added up to an unranked (probably not next week though) UNC's best performance of the season against the #4 team in the country that hadn't lost by more than four points all season. Like I said, save the excuses Duke fans. There were none for UNC last month. They flat stunk.

I feel so bad for Coach K that his team didn't show up for such a big game. No matter how they do in the tournament, these players will have to live with how they let him down for his curtain call at Cameron.
