Virginia Tech vs. Notre Dame: The No. 7 seeded Virginia Tech Hokies got a big upset win over the No. 2 seeded Notre Dame Fighting Irish, 87-80 in the quarterfinals of the 2022 ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament. The Hokies opened the game on a 7-0 run and were able to hold the Fighting Irish at arm’s length throughout the game for the most part. Five players scored in double figures for Tech, led by Keve Aluma’s 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting. Storm Murphy hit 5-of-7 from the floor on the way to 16 points, Sean Pedulla scored 13 points, and Justyn Mutts added 11 points and 13 rebounds in the win. Prentiss Hubb scored 23 points to lead the Irish in the loss.
