Nice interview. I was amused that Coach K picked up on the thing I struggle to understand myself. I love basketball,, and this rivalry happens in the same state where I've lived all my life, so it's a big deal. I must have been born a Tarheel fan because I can't remember not ever being one. Having played when I was in highschool I have some feel for the nuances playing out that coaching decisions are mostly responsible for. I get Coach K. He's just like my old highschool coach. His intensity during the games really shows. No doubt he's like that in practice too. Obviously Coach Davis is getting it done as a coach, but it's unfamiliar territory to me with regards to style. Evidently that contrast is something Coach K has also noticed. I'm guessing Coach K has privately wondered how Coach Davis does it. How does he inspire his guys? How does he get them to reach deep within themselves enough to be in this position? He's got a feel for it which he touched on when he was asked what he thinks about Coach Davis. I bet he's still curious about it. So am I.

Man I loved Roy, I was to young to remember Dean though I've seen enough, but Hubert is different man, if I was an out of state prospect I'd choose to play for him not because of the Tarheel lineage but because of the man he is.
As a UNC fan, I've always actually dreaded this moment. As a basketball fan, this is wonderful. Coach K is the GOAT & HD is now/going to be an amazing coach. Let's go Heels!
