North Carolina fans have been wondering for some time now: When will GG Jackson announce his college decision? Will he be a Tar Heel? Will he re-classify to 2022 or stay in 2023? Did Hubert Davis and the coaching staff do enough to reel him in and away from Duke and new head coach Jon Scheyer? We will hopefully find out soon. While you wait, host Isaac Schade makes his prediction for Jackson’s commitment.
The biggest question mark from the current Tar Heel roster is Caleb Love’s status. Will he come back to Chapel Hill or will he declare for the NBA draft? If he does declare for the draft, will he stay in or just test the waters and ultimately come back? Does he want one more shot at playing with RJ Davis, Leaky Black, and Armando Bacot? We will know something by Sunday at 11:59pm ET, which is the early entry deadline for student-athletes to declare.

Can someone tell me who accounts for the 13 Scholarships. I only see 12. that assumes that Justin Mckoy from Virginia does not get an offer. There were many high school players that were better than Justin. His stat line basically flatlined over the last season. do they have to offer him a scholar??

It would seem that in the new NIL environment it would be permissible for fans/alums/sponsors to fund tuition/room/board for a scholarship upperclassman in order to bring in another frosh. Lets make it happen, although this is a slippery slope.
I’m not necessarily saying it’s going to happen, but I would not be surprised if someone like Armando forfeited his scholarship and played without one in order to free up a slot for GG. Similar to what McDermott did with Creighton back in 2013-14.
