North Carolina has an open scholarship for the 2022-23 season and the big question becomes: Who will the Tar Heels get to help fill the Brady Manek-sized hole in the roster? Well, who better to help us answer that question than a basketball coach who has seen Brady up close and personal for years? The Carolina Coach K, Pac Kilby is back with us!
North Carolina got back 4 of their 5 starters (Caleb Love, RJ Davis, Leaky Black, Armando Bacot), but we can’t miss how big the hole is left by Brady Manek. Until this week there was no way to fill that gap outside of the roster. But then Kerwin Walton transferred and there’s another scholarship available. The big question then becomes: HOW SHOULD CAROLINA USE THEIR OPEN SCHOLARSHIP?

I think Puff will play that stretch four. He has shown the ability. I agree with most comments that they need another big.
People would welcome Mayer. This title is very misleading. It looks like you were saying that there is news that he is on the verge of possibly committing. But all it was is your guests hypothesis
Didn't Cam Johnson take an L or two from the Heels before joining them and winning a chip? I don't think he would have a problem going to UNC and getting some of the NIL.

If they go after Mayer, my guess is the they expect Washington to be able to fill in for Bacot. Whatever they do, a back up for Bacot HAS to be addressed. If they believe it is Washington, so be it. If not, they need to get one in the portal. We've seen what happens when Bacot goes down.
We don't need another stretch 4.
We need a BIG sub for Bacot. Puff will fill that stretch 4 position just fine.
