The entire Duke season was about their coach. Krzyzewski is a narcissitic megalomaniac. He's been coddled by the media and the NCAA for years and I'm happy to say his tenure as a college basketball coach is over.
After the game when the camera panned the crowd for fans, save but for the fans that were there rooting for the Tar Heels, those we saw were "Cameron Crazies" I suppose, but their demeanor was not of some exuberant Duke supporters, but rather tearful remorseful human beings totally beside themselves that on this momentous day in the annals of Duke's pretense of being the most titanic basketball program in the state of North Carolina was buried Cameron by UNC-Chapel Hill which is a beloved public university of this state not only celebrated for its athletics being ranked 8th in National Championships in all sports in the history of college sports but also being a prestigious institute of higher education that many would equate, along with the private school Duke which caters to the avant-garde rich and well-heeled comedians, even physician comedians evidently, with any of the Ivy League Universities. All North Carolinians should be filled with pride that our state has such celebrated institutions in this national spotlight. I would have liked nothing better as I roared with glee watching this game, which despite what Jay Bilas said that Carolina assured their chances of winning in the last 3 minutes of the first half. It was certainly somewhat part of salvaging this game before it got too late I guess, but as I see it the tenor of the game changed when Bacot put the Tar Heels up 63-61 with a shot down low near the baseline. I don't know Duke seemed like the tired team when it should have been Carolina because of all the minutes most of them played. But instead, they played with more finesse and skill than Duke albeit I'm sure they felt the pressure of the circumstance all night, the same thing I suspect may impose on their mind come Saturday against a Tar Heel team spoiling to ruin the party one more time. The Tar Heels have the added advantage of every so-called expert and sports talking head forecasting a loss for them in this rubber match, so there's no pressure on them. What they accomplished considering how the season went is one for the books in Tar Heel lore. I would have loved as I watched those weeping Duke fans I wished that the Public Address had played the brief Beatle's tune. "Cry baby cry, cry Make your mother sigh you're old enough to know better So cry baby cry, cry!"
If the Heels should beat Duke and then defeat a good Kansas team for another NCAA championship it would go down as one of the greatest basketball stories of all time. Fodder for a movie. Hell, I hope Brady Manek has kept a diary of his experience and writes a book about it. It's clearly a boy next door story. And the fact he's a white country boy only enhances his profile. A great shooter from Oklahoma who never got out of the first round of the NCAA tournament taking advantage of the chance to play a fifth year and choosing to go to a blue blood program that had suffered for a couple of years. His reflection on his decision to go play for a rookie black coach who he came to believe in. And if it ends with a national championship it'll mean even better numbers as a best seller.
The hypocrisy. Dookies complaining that some UNC fans shouted mean things at K in Chapel Hill and their fans are flipping off UNC's guys as they leave the floor. I hate Dook.
Coming from a life long UNC fan, I enjoy giving dook a hard time, it's in my blood. But today, I want to just take a minute & pay homage to our crazy uncle Coach K. Thank you sir for all the great memories that can never be forgotten. I wish you the very best in your future endeavors. You will never be replaced. There's only ONE Coach K. Facts
Contrast the retirement of the two coaches. Roy Williams left quietly without the fanfare of a 'tour' in the tradition of Dean Smith. Coach K had his farewell tour basking in a year long adulation by fellow coaches and media. Now his last home game memory will be a bitter loss to his rival!
The way those refs started handing out those cheap fouls in the first half I figured duke would have it easy in the second half with no good players left to play against them.
What a game
Heels always play better in that hell hole and refs never call crap on duke the crazies was crying a river
K goes out a loser @ Home and in the NCAA to Carolina! …PRICELESS!!!!!!!
Hubert sent coach rat out like Dean welcomed him to the ACC….with an L
Go Tarheels baby

Lather. Rinse. Repeat in the Final Four.

There's only ONE Coach K. Facts
Thanks for posting…. I don't have cable so I missed the game! Go Heels!
The first tips Duke didn’t go after the first ball just ".🤬
GG tarheels.. go way to redeem ur lost from a month ago.. Happy retirement coach K!#UNC4L
48:09 after this 3, it was all unc the rest of the game.
Duke is less evil now that they are one and dones. Their players are still tainted but not like the Grayson Allen’s who took a full decent into hell.

That is Hubert Davis court. Go tar heels
Thanks much for this complete game video. Duke thought Coach K was greater than the Rivalry. oops…

Lol all the spoiled-ass adult fans crying over an essentially meaningless game. You do know there’s still a tournament right?
Poetic justice after Roy went out the right way, with little fanfare last year, while Coach K has milked it for everything.
Absolutely beautiful!
UNC scored the first points
UNC scored the last points
UNC scored the most points.
Have a nice day coach k
It was a glorious night
I can only imagine how Roy felt watching this in front of his TV !
Thank you so much for this video! You are the GOAT of YouTube!
