Tom Browning says:

Carolinas incoming freshmen will surprise all of yall mark my words don't question their bench it's 10 times better than last years bench

Iweezy3 says:

Saying that Kendrick Perkins doesn't know basketball is wild coming from these people

Jake the Third says:

Guys, Kendrick Perkins is terrible lol.

Eric Roth says:

Coaching at NC is the issue. He coaches well in blowouts. Close games? Not so much. Lots of recruits and inconsistent outcomes. Gonzaga coaching far superior with less talent.

e g says:

So your saying Skip Bayless does not make it personal ? Anytime you call someone outside of there name it becomes personal.. Russell’s family name is Westbrook it means something to him not Westbrick.. its personal

trevor odell says:

Roach not that good

trevor odell says:

Puff WILL be a player and the bench is much better this year

DukeFan1971 says:

1) Why ANYONE still listens to ANYTHING Jeff Goodman says anymore is beyond me.

2) Fanta acting like Jeremy Roach is not going to be a top PG next year after the way he ended last season, or that Duke needs one guy to run the offense through when they have regularly run it through MULTIPLE guys in the past, to great success (Jon Scheyer, Nolan Smith and Kyle Singler in 2010…Tyus Jones, Quinn Cook and Jahlil Okafor in 2015…even tandems like Jabari Parker/Rodney Hood, or Zion Williamson/RJ Barrett) is seriously dissing them.

Duke has 3 of the top 5 guys in the country…plus a stud PG in Roach…PLUS a top-shooting transfer in Grandison (who only shot 41% from 3 2 seasons in a row in the Big 10), who can play 4 positions with ease…PLUS Proctor reclassifying, who is one of the best 2-position guards coming out of high school…not to mention the #1 class BY A MILE even BEFORE they got Proctor to reclassify…

Duke should be in the national title conversation.

3) Related to that, the fact that Jon Scheyer didn't even garner a MENTION from any of you as a first-year coach to watch next year is ridiculous on its face. Hubert Davis was a first-year coach last year, and only went to the title game. And he's not even a TENTH of the recruiter that Scheyer is, OR Jai Lucas, who is widely considered the 2nd-best recruiter in the nation behind Scheyer, coming over from Kentucky.

Jon has managed to put together back-to-back #1 classes right out of the gate, including getting 7 of the 9 guys he offered in '22, which is unheard of in modern recruiting. He's the one who basically built the Duke teams that Coach K won with the past 6 years, including the RJ-Zion-Cam, 1-2-3 class from 3 years ago, the Final 4 squad from last year, and now top-ranked classes in his first 2 seasons as head coach.

And he's even got other experienced coaches putting him on their radars as someone to be very wary of playing against, because he's playing Grandmaster-level Chess while others are playing Checkers, and poorly. He's got a very strategic mind, and he only played and coached under the best to ever coach in the game for most of the past decade and a half.

And the fact that he's already wanting to do certain things differently that limited the success of Coach K's teams–such as not playing depth, not giving role players any playing time so they're an asset to you late in the season, and not properly utilizing time-outs–is raising the ceiling on his teams' potential already before they've even stepped foot on the court.

So if you're overlooking Jeremy Roach, Jon Scheyer, or Duke…you do so at your own peril.

Bmick says:

Manek was a special, special player. They can't replace the intangibles he brought on the floor, but they will still get buckets, won't be as pretty or as easy as last season

wetrockstah2116 says:

Steak rare all day!! An Kentucky by 15 son 💪😎 BBN

Jonathan Cilla says:

Bro that Arkansas freshman class is DEADLY!

Ron Lowney says:

You had better not sleep on UCLA or Baylor this Year! 🤑
