The time has come for the North Carolina Tar Heels family to bid farewell to GG Jackson. There has been no public announcement yet from the Jacksons or from North Carolina, but various signs, including the fact that the Tar Heels have now offered scholarships to two other power forwards in the class of 2023, point to the fact that an announcement is imminent.
Coach Hubert Davis has been doing everything in his power to keep GG Jackson in the fold, similar to how he worked to woo back Walker Kessler upon taking the UNC head coaching job. It seems like the train is too far down the tracks though. What remains to be seen is what Jackson will actually end up deciding to do. Re-classify and go to South Carolina (or elsewhere)? Go to the G League? Stay in the class of 2023?
The good news for the Tar Heels is that they’ve already got their man for the 2022-23 season in Pete Nance, who, in host Isaac Schade’s opinion, is the more perfect fit for THIS team. Why so? You’ll have to listen to find out.

I wish I could find that comment from the S. Carolina fan. They really said "GG Jackson will restore USC"? Restore them to what? They have always been a bottom half SEC team. ALWAYS. They have 1 Final Four and I cannot think of a single All American produced by that program. Thornwell maybe? Probably not but that's the best player I remember in recent years. And why do UNC and Coach Davis deserve this? What did Coach do? What a clown comment.
What does GG’s mother know about basketball? I’m not convinced it’s much if she’d rather her son go to South Carolina just because it’s closer, the NIL money, notwithstanding.
It's Jackson's loss if he is not interested in getting an education at one of our nation's greatest public institutions.
😂 it's actually laughable, but we all know the Carolina is in Chapel Hill, and the gamecocks attempting to latch on and hijack the USC and the Carolina brand is in all reality, pitiful. Good luck with that, because other than maybe the surrounding 50 miles of the campus of the college in South Carolina, NO ONE on the planet thinks of anything other than the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill when they hear "Carolina." We all know that Carolina basketball never stops, no one player, doesn't matter how big the recruiting sites and their pundits think one is, is bigger than the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, but with that being said I also do not feel comfortable with anyone who associates themselves with the Tarheel brand throwing shade on a recruits family/mom, especially when he has not even made anything official except that he is coming next year. I realize you need new content every day, but this went too far. #GoHeels
The thing that gets me is that this wasn't a hasty decision to commit to UNC. If his Mother wanted him in South Carolina all along then it should've been made known before he toyed with other programs. He cited a few reasons for choosing UNC but now this. Oh well….
Yikes! I truly believed what G.G. said on his social media account, but I guess all parties in his camp didn't vet what should've been said.
He's a great talent, no doubt, but this is a pure case of flip flopping.

Yeah the way everyone should think about this is we would rather have a 5th year Pete Nance vs a 17 year old GG. It's not UNC's fault that he's reclassifying, he just thinks it's the best for him which is fair.
