Northwestern transfer Pete Nance committed to North Carolina on Saturday, June 18. We haven’t been able to learn much about the newest Tar Heel, until now. UNC held summer media interviews this week with several players available on the floor of the Smith Center, including Nance, Armando Bacot, RJ Davis, Caleb Love, Dontrez Styles, and Puff Johnson.

Nance’s commitment filled Carolina’s scholarship quota for the 2022-23 season.
Nance should slot into the Carolina lineup as the starting ‘4’ alongside RJ Davis, Caleb Love, Leaky Black, and Armando Bacot. He will also provide great backup minutes for Bacot at the ‘5’ when the presumptive ACC Preseason Player of the Year heads to the bench.
Last season at Northwestern, Nance averaged 14.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.1 blocks, while shooting 45.2% from three. For his career, Nance started 74 games at Northwestern and has just one year of eligibility left, using his COVID year.

Man literally seems like the smartest most genuine guy ever. He’s also a phenomenal player. I’m just gonna say it he could go down as our second best player this year and that wouldn’t shock me.
4 years of maturity and experience = win, win.
I think Nance will fit better than GG not to take away GG’s game he’s going to be a good player in a future good luck to him
