North Carolina football’s fall camp is in full swing. We are less than three weeks away from the Tar Heels’ Week 0 game against Florida A&M. At this point, the biggest question Carolina fans are asking is: Who will be named starting quarterback, the one to replace Sam Howell? Will it be Jacolby Criswell? Will it be Drake Maye? Host Isaac Schade believes Maye will ultimately be tabbed as the starter. Listen in to find out why.
Unfortunate injury news over the weekend as 5th-year senior Antoine Green left Saturday’s scrimmage with an apparent collar bone injury. We’re still waiting on more definitive details. Green started all 13 games last year and is the downfield threat looking to spread the field for Josh Downs to operate underneath. He isn’t Dyami Brown, but is a reliable veteran presence on a team that needs someone to balance Downs’ game-changing skill set. The WR room has more depth now. Be on the lookout for who will join Downs and Justin Olson. Names to know are JJ Jones, Gavin Blackwell, Ty Chapman, and impressive freshman Andre Greene. Can the TEs help fill the void until Green returns? Kamari Morales is the known quantity, but there’s lots of hype around Bryson Nesbit.
We heard two words over and over again from Tony Grimes and Power Echols last week in their post-practice comments: fundamentals and communication. These are the foundations upon which the defense believes it will turn over a new leaf under Gene Chizik.

Seems to me most UNC fans are looking for a guy they can cheer for in the NFL, not too concerned with winning the ACC or a Championship in college ball. Having said that, Drake looks like a player and so does Jacolby, let's see who is a winner

The quality of your video has deteriorated noticeably recently. There is a great deal of pixilation. This has been significantly worse in the last two or three posts.
I see you missing the 1924 national championship on your list
Drake has the biggest upside by far. He is a former 247 five star recruit and has all of the tools to be a first round NFL draft pick. His last year playing in High School (which was his Junior year) he threw for 50 TD’s and only 2 interceptions. He has the pedigree as well with his father being a former starter at QB for UNC. I grew up playing with Mark in basketball. He was a tremendous athlete. Drake’s brothers are former National Champion winners. One was a pitcher in baseball for the Florida Gators and the other I heard one a National Championship in basketball for some school in 2017 😉. However the offense that UNC is running best fits Criswell’s traits. Drake is and should be the starter. My fear is that they will try and play two QB’s which I think would be a mistake. I had also posted before that not having another WR step up last year to go along with Downs helped contribute to our lackluster season. This is very bad news about Green. However, this Team from start to bottom has as much overall talent than I have seen in Chapel Hill in a very long time. I think that UNC is going to be a threat in the ACC and that the rest of the country is overlooking them. I think that we are going to have a very good season and surprise a lot of teams this year. Absolutely hate it for Antoine Green. Hope he makes in back later in the year and contributes. Very thin at WR now but hopefully the young guys show out
