North Carolina At Chapel Hill

North Carolina basketball target Boogie Fland (class of 2024) will take an official visit to Chapel Hill the weekend of September 30 to attend Live Action with Hubert Davis (UNC’s new name for Late Night). Class of 2023 target Zayden High will also be in attendance.

Sports Illustrated’s Director of Basketball Recruiting, Jason Jordan, says that Fland is a high-level guard who has all the tools to be an elite guard, but is more concerned with winning than his own numbers. He’s extremely quick and would fit perfectly into the Tar Heels’ system.

Hubert Davis and Jeff Lebo have been up to visit Fland in New York. Speaking of which, Fland plays for Archbishop Stepinac, which is RJ Davis’ alma mater, not to mention that of AJ Griffin who played at Duke last year before heading on to the NBA.

Drake Powell is Carolina’s first commit in the class, and adding an elite guard of Fland’s caliber would be fantastic news for Hubert Davis. Don’t expect any news soon though, as Fland has stated his desire to take his time with his recruitment.
