In Duke head coach Mike Elko’s first game in the rivalry, North Carolina retained the Victory Bell in a back and forth thriller. Once again for the Tar Heels, it was the Drake Maye show, as the redshirt freshman QB threw for a career-high 380 yards while going 28-38 with 3 touchdowns. Maye also collected 70 yards on the ground. Receiving-wise, Josh Downs caught 9 passes for 126 yards, while Antoine Green had 112 yards and a touchdown. Duke QB Riley Leonard had 245 yards through the air with a touchdown, and the signal caller also rushed for 130 yards and a touchdown.

UNC's defense is absolutely infuriating. I'd rather them just be bad all the time instead of teasing how good they could be. They dominated the 3rd qtr only to revert back to waving as the ball carrier goes by in the 4th. I just don't get it. Tony Grimes literally waved at Waters as he ran by on the TD run to put Duke up 33-31 (21:20). I really hope there is some type of consequence for that. Absolutely unacceptable to allow that poor an effort. Sadly he wasn't the only one.

And don't ever mention Oklahoma to The Macker… urine ran down his pants lege whenever he spotted Bob Stoops on the opposing sideline. If Mack doesnt fire the defensive cooridnators after this season he should be fired. That is some of the worst defensive play I have ever seen. They couldnt stop a high school team.

As a heels fan even I can admit that the personal foul for what should have been a sack on Maye was dumb af. But it fits with the new standard of protecting QBs now. Unfortunate for Duke since that could have been a stopped drive, but ain't shit you can do about that one. Refs are gonna throw that flag every game now.
