UNC is loaded – Armando Bacot, Caleb Love, RJ Davis, Leaky Black…so what role will freshmen have?

The North Carolina Tar Heels return a stacked lineup to the 2022-23 season. Hubert Davis gets four starters back in Armando Bacot, Caleb Love, RJ Davis, and Leaky Black. Add in Northwestern transfer Pete Nance to that starting lineup, plus returning reserves Puff Johnson, Dontrez Styles, D’Marco Dunn, and Justin McKoy and you’ve got a team primed for another Final Four run.

But Carolina’s capability doesn’t end there. UNC brings in a four-person freshman class of Seth Trimble, Jalen Washington, Tyler Nickel, and early-enrollee Will Shaver. The question is – how will the freshmen carver out a role for themselves on this already loaded roster?
