North Carolina’s 2022-23 season begins with a bang next Monday as four of the five starters from last year’s National Runner-Up team return to Chapel Hill – Armando Bacot, Caleb Love, Leaky Black, and RJ Davis. The lone difference is the absence of Brady Manek and the presence of Pete Nance. Many have tried to pigeon-hole Nance into being Manek, but that’s just simply not who he is.
Meanwhile, the Carolina football team travels to Charlottesville this weekend to face Virginia in the “South’s Oldest Rivalry”. Facing the adversity of several starters lost for the season last week against Pittsburgh (Caleb Hood, Des Evans, Noah Taylor), how will Drake make and company respond on the road in a stadium where they haven’t won since 2016?

Morning Issac.
You certainly put a lot out on the table to digest today. First thing is Brady Manek/Pete Nance comparisons.
I think the main difference between these two is inside defense. Nance is definitely stronger and taller to better assist Mondo in rebounding and defense, but Brady had his moments with several put-backs and dunks. I loved his interior play.
Now, to your point about our DL. I'm thankful UNC has recruited well in this area. Young, but talented players should be able to step up. We'll see.
Our RB room is still 🔥. We've basically been nonexistent in that area lately, but with the four we still have available, I believe this week you'll see one of our better performances from that room. Green and Hampton will each go for 75 yards. Pettaway and Jones will also get a few snaps. I think for UNC to have a chance of winning these next 4 games, we're going to have to see some improvement in our RB's. We know Elijah is fast, so let's see some breakaways to the outside from him.

Again I project Pete will be better then Brady because he’s better at every aspect of basketball except 3pt shooting. Brady was phenomenal but Nance is good at everything.
