North Carolina Basketball began their quest to return to the Final Four on Monday Night. Returning starters Armando Bacot, RJ Davis, Leaky Black, and Caleb Love are ready to go along with transfer Pete Nance. Hubert Davis’ 2nd Tar Heel team quite frankly struggled offensively, but found ways to make it happen on the defensive end, holding UNCW under 30% shooting for the game.
Freshman Seth Trimble and Sophomore D’Marco Dunn both played pivotal bench minutes the game. Carolina did have several trouble spots: they were outrebounded, had just four assists, four fast break points, and only shot 2-10 from three.

Bad rebounding, lack of assists, and lack of 3pt was the offensive problem.
I'm a little put off about the comments from ACC commentators last night saying if we don't win it all the season will be a bust…okay I know we're number 1, for now, but hey it's November. GO HEELS
Watched the coverage on ACCN. Loved what I saw from the Tar Heels on defense. I cringed when Doug Sherman said D'Marco Dunn played HS ball in the state of "Carolina." Wonder what he would think about somebody referring to the state of "New?"
I am a new subscriber to this channel I have been a UNC TARHEEL FAN since 1982
The Carolina offense went flat whenever Trimble was being forced out there, no one knew their roles well, too many ball dominant players together.. the bench also isn't that productive, the starters will be playing a lot of minutes out there without rest..
That is what you suppose to do .Be patience and good things will come. I think once they learn each other style ,mainly Pete Nance ,the team will be unstoppable. Once our hurt players ome back Puff and Jalen IT IS OWN. GO HEEL!
I was glad to see Leaky shooting the ball
One game in and I’m lovin me some Seth Trimble. He is straight energy! He brings so much defensively and having another ball handler is never ever a bad thing.
This team has been overrated from Day 1! They just got hot in the tourney last year
I feel like this team is gonna be far better than last years team defensively from start to finish. The offense won’t be an issue
