North Carolina beat Gardner-Webb on Tuesday night, 72-66 behind 20 points from Caleb Love & 18 from Pete Nance. RJ Davis recorded the first double-double of the season for UNC (14pts/10reb) while Armando Bacot fell one rebound shy. Leaky Black followed up perhaps his best career offensive game with another solid performance. Nance finally had the breakout we’ve been waiting for, including making 3 first-half threes.

The problem is last year Brady didn't go in the paint and that created space for RJ and Love and this year Nance is a mid-level player so we have to work through that this year Nance guards will have to work on med range game after practice Armando have to go to work or he not going too the NBA do the dirty work hit the glass

It looks to me like the team isn't all that interested right now. UNC-W, CoC & G-W are a significant come down from the Final Four. I share your concern about Armando. It's hard not to remember the disappointment of another preseason ACC player of the year, Garrison Brooks. I don't think Bacot is buckling under the pressure of expectations, but I wonder if he's too focused on creating video for the NBA.

3rd game of the year Carolina never starts off crushing people early even when we were the number one teams in the country we get better as a season goes along as a competition stiffens up I'm not worried at all about this team this team has been there before and they know what it takes they just starting a little slow it'll pick up once competition gets better cuz let's face it you know it's hard to get up for going the webs and UNC Wilmington's and teams like that when we start getting into those power five teams you'll see the tar heels step it up
UNC is not a number 1 team in the nation. They need to get it together soon or they will lose that ranking. Only won by 6 smh.
I feel they may take the 1 away too we really are maybe a top 20 team right now but yea we may fall round 5 mark or so they need to wake up and soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
