Not sure any UNC fans are surprised by this loss after the way they have been playing to start the season. The number 1 ranking was a house of cards destined to be tumbled by the first power 5 program we ran up against. Now time to get back to work.

Before the L today Carolina's schedule was so weak in comparison to almost every other ranked team. They were also 1-4 ATS now they're 1-5 ATS.
UNC lost because the basketball team was playing at the same time as the biggest football rivalry of the year. The football gods dont give a damn if you are the number one team. You disrespected them and paid the price.
Iowa State is good. They play every game with maximum effort and never count themselves out. We will see if the AP rankings give them the respect they deserve after this W.

Tarheels started slow last year. Come March they’ll make a deep run. My question is does Roy Williams have to go to every game? Hubert Davis doesn’t need to have him still hovering around the program. I doubt you’ll see Coach K at a game this year.

ISU is a quality team. Sweet 16 last year, middle of the pack big 12 team. This loss will benefit UNC when as they approach conference play. Good wake up call.

I’m disappointed but at the same time I’m not surprised that UNC lost. UNC been asking for an upset all season. UNC should’ve won this game there’s no excuses they had a good lead and didn’t take the advantage to close them out. That’s exactly how they lost to Kansas last year in the championship. UNC needs to work on discipline that’s been their biggest enemy. Hopefully this game will be wake up call for them.
