The called goal tend was truly goal tending because in my estimation of the play the ball was just beginning its descent no matter if some propose it wasn't. Beyond that, it was a judgment call and judgment calls can't be reviewed near the end of the game. And the claim that the refs wanted Carolina to win is flat-out hogwash. So to avoid that the bloody refs claimed it was an inadvertent whistle which is pure BS to favor Alabama no doubt because UNC has always, save for the recent past been a top-tier team. I've watched and rooted for the Tar Heels most of my 73 years of life and I've never seen any ref who was biased for them. If anything they're always a target for defeat by their opponents which is expected but not by the machinations of the GD officials.
Who doesn't remember the way the zebras treated them in that Baylor game last year when they were mugging the Heels throughout the latter half of the game after Manek was ejected from the game for a specious inadvertent elbow call to that bloody pink-haired French guy Sochan who had been assaulting Tar Heel players the entire game and was draped all over Manek's back when that call was made. And there may be some lingering animus for them for beating Duke at the end of the season at Cameron when all of his former players were there to celebrate his retirement and the game that led to the Heels being in the title game and in the process spoiling Mike Krzyzewski's retirement at the last game he'd ever coach. His Duke teams were perhaps despised because of how dirty they always are, but all the sports world treated that primadonna Krzyzewski like he was some kind of basketball diety and it killed their soul to see him lose his last two games to the Tar Heels. And why do they let that big-mouth excruciating fool Bill Walton call NCAA games because he's piss poor at it? And he's full of crap for claiming that last shot wasn't a goal tend because it damn sure was!

I’m a unc fan but that was a block and they said inverted whistle that’s BS. The whistle blew 4or 5 times. That should have been unc ball that possession shot was garbage. In saying all this unc lost on behalf of that terrible ass inbound pass to nobody with 8.4 seconds left
