North Carolina lost at Pittsburgh on Friday to take their conference record to 1-2, both losses coming on the road. Armando Bacot had another massive game, his third straight game scoring 20 or more. It could have been more overwhelming, but Bacot only had three shot attempts in the final 11:54. Caleb Love had an off day scoring wise. Pete Nance started hot, but injury slowed him down.
Carolina got back D’Marco Dunn who played the most minutes behind anyone outside the starting five.
The women’s basketball team suffered a heartbreaking defeat at Virginia Tech on Sunday, running their losing streak to three games. Coach Banghart’s team will look to get back to their winning ways Thursday at Miami.

This team has alot of problems this year and 1 big problem is we have no bench,this team should want to win every game they play,I think they make the tournament but I don't see them making a deep run and the starters are playing to many minutes and I think that is what hurt them last year
They lack intensity, they lack toughness and they lack bench strength. I've said this so many times, but we don't have an explosive 3-and-D guy– every team in my projected sweet 16 has that. This season is going to continue to be a slog.
Mr. Schade – You are a reporter and I assume that you can ask Coach Davis a question or two.
Can you ask why Puff Johnson never played again after the 3 quick fouls in the 1st half? Was he injured? or was he being punished?
Can you ask Coach Davis, who is in charge of the substitution pattern and if there is specific plan or does he just make it up as he goes along.
I have watched carefully and I look at the stats but Coach Davis says that you earn playing time if you do well in practice.
Does that mean Love and Davis shoot the ball really well in practice? Is that how they earn 35/36 minutes per game?
I know Coach Smith kept track of all the statistics and I know that Coach Davis says he is not big on "statistics" but how does he decide who does
well in practice if he doesn't keep track of makes and misses?
I watch the video after the games and nobody asks these questions…

This team just isn’t that good. They lack cohesiveness, execution, effort, consistency and the killa instinct. They are really good at turnovers and playing 1 on 1 street ball. This is a NIT team.
They wouldn't have ran away with anything
