North Carolina pulled away late at home to take the victory against Wake Forest, 88-79. The Tar Heels got it done largely thanks to turning defense into offense, as they scored 32 points off 15 Demon Deacon turnovers. RJ Davis season-high 27 points, 22 of which came in the second half. Leaky Black put up a career-high 18 points on 6-8 shooting, and Armando Bacot had 21 points and 9 rebounds. Freshman Seth Trimble had 11 points on 4-4 shooting off the bench. For the Deacs, Damari Monsanto had 17 points and 7 rebounds, and Tyree Appleby put up 16 points and 9 assists.

Don't know how long Davis can go with Love at this point. He is not good for the team. Hope Nance is ok but the team looked 100 pct better without him. Glad the bench got some time but why Styles and Nickels not getting nothing is beyond me. Davis is going to lose a lot of kids to portal. The Heels will but lets be honest her another game they should of beat a team by 20 or more. Wake Forest got a couple of dude but the Heels talent should of been a no contest here.

Defense will get better towards end of the season as usually. Gave up the 3 ball way to many time uncontested. We all know love is a 2nd half player. RJ and Trimble need to run point love stay a 2 guard

This team has issues but they have the ability to become flaming hot. Plus Hubie is only in year two. I think the key is Love maturing and playing more consistently on both ends.
