North Carolina used a late surge at home to take the victory against Wake Forest, 88-79. The Tar Heels got it done largely thanks to turning defense into offense, as they scored 32 points off 15 Demon Deacon turnovers. RJ Davis season-high 27 points, 22 of which came in the second half. Leaky Black put up a career-high 18 points on 6-8 shooting, and Armando Bacot had 21 points and 9 rebounds. Freshman Seth Trimble had 11 points on 4-4 shooting off the bench. For the Deacs, Damari Monsanto had 17 points and 7 rebounds, and Tyree Appleby put up 16 points and 9 assists.
