On Monday, the number two player in the class of 2024, Ian Jackson, was set to announce his commitment, and every bit of intel said “Kentucky”. But things started coming out on Monday that started pointing towards UNC, some insiders started flipping their Crystal Ball predictions, and next thing you knew, Ian Jackson was unzipping a jacket to reveal a “North Carolina” logo. Ian Jackson becomes the 4th commit in the class of 2024, further solidifying Hubert Davis’ hold on the No. 1-ranked class. Jackson joins Elliot Cadeau, James Brown, and Drake Powell. Jason Jordan joins host Isaac Schade to unpack this wild commitment.
North Carolina hosts Boston College tonight in the Smith Center, looking to string together a two-game winning streak against an inferior opponent on the heels of the win at Louisville on Saturday. We haven’t heard news to the contrary, so we expect Armando Bacot to be in the lineup, and ready to go, albeit likely hobbled still.

It's amazing that these kids can reclassify so easily. Finish high school in 3 years AND be fully dedicated to a sport? Kudos, I could barely finish in 4 with like, zero extracurricular activities lol!
Seeing as Hansbrough is one of my favs, I hate to see him knocked off the top of a list. Still, Bacot is the type of dude I don't mind doing it. Anyone taking Tyler's place has really done something at UNC.
Like you Isaac, I'm looking at the team's turnovers in this game. It's bad enough when a team can force a lot of turnovers on you. However, most of our turnovers have been self-inflicted, whether it be through poor ball handling or passing, and that's even worse. They have been taking a lot of steps forward, and this feels like one of the next big steps they need to take.
The only thing UNC needs to do against BC is play like they love playing and WANT to be out there playing. Enough of the lackadaisical attitude they’ve had this season.
I have no idea, but can Trez handle the ball, only being 6'6", I would love to see Trez play a 2 guard position with his ability to shoot the 3, and knowing his athletic abilities, could he guard other taller athletic guards???? Something to think about.
As a previous coach, I could easily see myself playing Trez at the 3, or even 2. UNC is so blessed.
