Ian Jackson Commits to UNC; Tar Heels Have #1 Recruiting Class for 2024 in Men's Basketball

Ian Jackson, a six-foot-four, 5-star shooting guard out of the Bronx, N.Y., picks UNC as his college home. This comesa month after point guard Elliot Cadeau announced his commitment. Both Cadeau and Jackson are ranked in the top 10 in the Class of 2024.

Tar Heels are the No. 1 ranked recruiting class in the 2024 cycle, as Jackson and Cadeau will join the likes of No. 30 ranked James Brown and No. 49 ranked Drake Powell.

What does this mean for Hubert Davis and his commitment to the head coaching role at North Carolina? What does it mean for the current roster?

Tar Heels will get it together again! Caleb is struggling and holding the team back a lil right now. Hubert is gonna have to lower his mins. GO TAR HEELS!!

Jonathan Dancy says:

Don't be surprised if Bacot comes back for one more year. He loves Chapel Hill and has the Covid extra year. Plus, NIL is taking care of him financially so why not

Alex says:

there weren't many 5 stars who made a major impact on the last few baskeball championships. Kansas, Baylor, Virginia, Villanova (both teams), and UNC probably had 4 or 5 five stars among them.

it's different than football.

Donald Hall says:

you said Davis may decide to come back Roy had those boys rolling what are you talking about

CgpXae says:

Armando is a senior…..why’s he talking like he’s played 6 college years

CgpXae says:

5 stars don’t matter? Does she watch college basketball. Every championship team has atleast 1 or 2 nba level freshman or sophomore players. She arguing to argue

Juan Doe says:

"The reality is, at the end of the day." 😆

CgpXae says:

Cut her mic

MJ says:

She made him change his whole argument lol.
Good Job Candace.
Demarco Dunn will stay

Very interesting points and dialogue. I enjoyed both of your specifics and comments. I think that McKoy and or Styles could transfer. I think that Bacot will come back for his fifth year for a few reasons. 1) he loves it in Chapel Hill 2) his NIL is extremely lucrative 3) next years Team has the potential of being better than this years Team. Of course there is a lot of ball to be played. Caleb will leave and Simeon Wilcher (who is an absolute stud), Zayden High comes in along with Cadeau who reclassifies. I’m a Tar Heel fan and a very big ACC supporter and I absolutely love seeing Clemson and Pitt playing great ball even though I’m not fans of their schools. It’s great for our conference. I’ve been a subscriber but I’ve never watched your podcast but going forward I will continue to watch. Thx for all that you do. GDTBATH

Ron Peterson says:

When people say the ACC is off this year, they should say Duke and UNC are off. The ACC is as strong as ever with new dogs at the top. Although I am a Pitt man, the truth is they have 4 guards that can shoot and will with Hinson a big time forward and Syracuse has a freshman guard Judah Mintz that will get any guard in foul trouble if they dare try to cover him qne on one. One final point, Virginia is no joke.
