Armando Bacot became UNC’s all-time leader in rebounds (1,221) and double-doubles (61) on Saturday as the Tar Heels defeated rival NC State, 80-69. Bacot moves past Billy Cunningham on the double-double list and Tyler Hansbrough (1,219) on the rebounding list. Next up, Bacot look to move up the ACC rebounding leaderboard, where he currently sits in 8th place.

We beat state fair and square period!
Folks should stop sleeping on RJ Davis! He deserves soooooo much more credit than he receives for organizing the floor. He’s a smart player and a tough one, too! Love them all, but without RJ, this team experiences less success.

Overall, I was very pleased and impressed with the team's toughness and performance on Saturday. After they stopped jacking up threes they were able to fully execute the game plan and get almost all of State's players in foul trouble. Mando and RJ are playing out of their minds right now. Pete showed more aggression with that drive to the basket dunk. Heck, while his shots still weren't falling until the end of the game, even Caleb did much better. His shots later in the game felt much more within the flow of the offense than they had in previous games. If he can keep that up, then I have no doubt his shooting percentage will go up with time. The best part is that they still have room to improve. Wait until Pete fully finds his way and Caleb finally finds his shot, as well as the team as a whole just getting progressively better. Boy this team can truly be great if they get better and more disciplined each and every day.
the play by leaky was inadvertant. the bow to love's mouth was not part of the play as he used his off had to hit love. i think F1 for both would have been the right call but if one got an F2, it was not black's play but the state guy's play that was not part of going up for a lay up.
ncsu fans do not understand anything, if they lose to unc, they feel it has to be the refs. i watched the game and saw a whole chitload of fouls state committed that were not called. the worse was black being ejected but the state guy not for the same type of play.

Sir Isaac thank you so much for addressing all of those points. Some wolpfack fans calling for Leaky or Armando to be intentionally hurt at the game in Raleigh. There was a very similar play earlier in the game where Smith was driving to the rim and Armando fouled him and he fell to the floor. No F2 there. It was a foul which unfortunately led to him being injured. Their fans are the absolute worst.
Isaac, if you get a chance could you give an updated total on Leaky’s career stats? Points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks etc… I appreciate it and thanks for all that you do! GDTBATH
25% on 20 made FG’s is horrendous. Yes they were trying to get to the free throw line and to be honest they should have shot about 10 more if the refs got some more if the calls right. I am not comfortable with our assist ratio as of late at all. If we don’t fix this then we are not going to last very long in the post season. Great win but we will have our hands filled when we go to Raleigh next month. State fans are despicable. I hate to say that about a fan base but they are not rational. Not all of them but most are extremely vulgar and they do not demonstrate any sportsmanship. I guess that’s what happens when you lose 36 out of the last 41 games and they haven’t sniffed a Final Four since 83
