North Carolina vs. Syracuse: The Tar Heels were able to go on the road and pulled out a tough hard-fought win over the Syracuse Orange, 72-68. North Carolina was trailing by one with 20.5 seconds left in the game and Pete Nance was at the free throw line. Nance missed the shot, but in the mad scramble for the rebound, Joseph Girard III tries to save the ball from going out of bounds but accidentally tips it right to Pete Nance for an easy go-ahead basket. Nance finished the game with 21 points, four rebounds, three assists, three steals, and a block. Armando Bacot had 18 points, eight rebounds, and four assists. For Syracuse, Girard led the Orange with 18 points, five assists, and four rebounds.

Caroline is also the only team in the NCAA that has a seven footer that plays under the rim! He gets blocked by guards!!! Carolina has not got a player that is NBA bound!

Leaky Black has to play better. He is and grown man playing with boys. They also need someone from the bench to add a least 6-10 pts just Luke Maye did back. They need to get Puff Johnson and Dunn to add more offense and defense.

I don't normally complain about the refs, but I gotta say I now understand why Maryland left for the Big 10. SU at home had only three free throws to 23 for UNC. In the UNC NC State game they had 39 free throws against the Wolfpack. They went to the monitors THREE times at the end of this game just to figure out a way to give UNC the ball if they could. I congratulate the Tar Heels on a good win and good teams will even overcome a free throw discrepancy like the Tar Heels had over the Cuse, but no team not named Duke or North Carolina is going to get a fair shake in this conference. The Tar Heels obviously have the better players and deserve the win and the Cuse choked at the end. That having been said I think the ACC is a good fit for Syracuse, I just understand why Maryland would leave. They were in debt and sick of the bias for cash cows Duke and North Carolina. Go Cuse!!! 🏀🍊💪
