Good win considering we were playing 5 on 8 all night.
Escaped is right. On paper, they should have won this game by double digits. Syracuse was hitting some really tough shots. Mintz hit several where Love was in really good position with a hand in his face, but the shot still went down. The way they played down the stretch, probably should have lost. Still, the better team is usually not the one making mistakes when it mattered, and that was UNC.
Similar to the Leaky foul, I didn't think Mintz should be hit with a Flagrant when RJ took the elbow, but it had to be called that way due to how the rule is written. It looked like Mintz was aggressively trying to step through, and RJ was just in perfect guarding position.
Lets all be mindful – This a grown man's game and we have a Grown Man Team … UNC is supposed to win this game and should dominate (Zone or Not) !!!

This years version is very frustrating given the level of talent.
More baffling are the coaching decisions – situational substitutions – Loved HD as player at UNC & NBA – Thus far two seasons in as a COACH – there's much to be desired.
I commented before the half last night (Why is Trimble off the bench before Nickel against a zone defense ?)
The moment Nickel enters the game (Way to late towards the end of the half) he was a factor.
His defense is much improved – He needs to play – spell Love when he's in his feelings – which is often.
I'll take the win, but this team is better than it play – Coaching is the issue – This isn't the NBA !

Really disappointed in the officiating. Mondo, Nancy and RJ are really going to be sore tomorrow from all the fouls the cuse committed, and were NOT called. Definitely over-compensated for how state complained about the officiating. All I ask is that the refs call the fouls, both ways!!!!!
