Pitt vs. North Carolina: The Panthers went on the road and got a big victory over the Tar Heels, 65-64. Pitt’s Nike Sibande blocked a last-gasp effort by UNC’s Caleb Love as time expired to seal the win. Nelly Cummings led Pitt with 21 points on 8 of 11 shooting before fouling out in the second half. Jamarius Burton chipped in 19 points for the Panthers. Caleb Love and Armando Bacot combined for 37 points, Bacot snagged 11 boards on the night.
