North Carolina made a concerted early effort to play through Armando Bacot at Wake Forest, but couldn’t stop Wake Forest’s offensive attack led by Tyree Appleby. Caleb Love and RJ Davis had another rough first half, although Love was able to salvage things in the 2nd half. It appears that Davis’ finger is still bothering him.
Carolina got strong contributions from Puff Johnson.
The game was a curious tale of two different halves. In the first, Hubert Davis’ squad scored 25, tying a season-low for points in any half. In the second half, the Tar Heels posted 60 points, setting a new season high for points in any half.

I know that this is irrelevant to this podcast, but he did mention Steve Forbes. It’s irrelevant to our team this year but I want to say something about him it may not be the most “appropriate“ thing that it might be off topic, but I will say this about him, that coach is legit. He has a very defensive, and offensive mindset. Tyree Appleby is amazing. He has an arm. He has a sweet shot that is prolific. The way he shoots his arm is very skilled. He does amazing things what he does is absolutely phenomenal. He is an unprecedented Guard. What he has is a mental mindset. His ability to do what he does is absolutely gifted he has a talent that is extremely gifted. I mean credit to him. He has something special about who he is, and what he does, what he does is elite, which is why Wake Forest wins. Am I saying that he is Tyler Hansbrough when we had Hansbrough or Justin Jackson great or even for that matter Phil Ford great? Well, I’m not exactly saying that, but I will say this Tyree Appleby is a phenom. He plays at the level at it’s absolute highest arguably in the ACC one of them. He’s not the guard of Virginia or NC State but he’s definitely one of the best in the ACC for sure. I’m not saying again he is one of the best players we had on one of Roy’s teams but I will say Tyree Appleby is so electrifying on the court. He has what it takes.
But the said part about appleby he shoujd have never abused our guards or shot 28 free throws that’s pathetic

They didn't pack the paint . They didn't double Armando at all
Forbes said he went with Bradford because of his size and thick chest ..Bradford could muscle Armando out .and Armando couldn't shoulder him

Came back in late ..got his 10th and 11th rebound securing his double double..botje rebounds were in thr same series .first opportunity to foul about a minute later last intentional foul and on bench watching the game
The tell of the 2nd half is Wake was up 26 and got fat happy complacent amd quit playing defense and just started playing playground ball on offense
You can't give those guys any credit
Amd the second half went so freaking long with the massive amount of fouls Hubert committed…..the clock was only running when we had the ball
Hell we were fouling before the unbound until the team got a warning

The Heels need a coach an not a preacher. The entire coaching staff need to be replaced. They haven't developed these kids at all. Leaky should be killing it.

Chris the tarheels need a new coach besides that run last year this team is not good. They play very selfish and don't run a secondary break or anything that has worked in the past. Also he never adjusts to anything the other team is doing. It's time to wake up north carolina
