Joe Ovies & Joe Giglio say that UNC basketball continues to disappoint, and that UNC looked terrible in a loss to Wake Forest. They point out how the message appears to be a ‘if you’re not all in, don’t show up’ conversation that’s taking place, and how it’s too late in the year to be having that conversation, and how UNC shouldn’t be in a position to have that conversation.

When has Carolina had any issues with State? State has 5 wins in 20 years, 40-9 this millennia! Now State has beat dook 6 of last 13 @ pnc!
The 4 around 1 offense they are running only works if you have 3 point makers and they don’t. They would be better off in coach Smith and William’s 3 around 2 offense. At least they would have a better chance for rebounds. The also don’t push the ball up the floor anymore. Coach William’s teams would run it up your back. Just a frustrated ex-coach Tar Heel fan….

No one will ever be able to convince me that Manek was not the engine that drove this team last year. We all know about his shooting ability and the space it provided, but I believe his passion, drive, and leadership were equally important, if not more so. He was the first to call out the team for their lackluster play. He was one of the ones who organized the players only meeting. Things started turning around when he was inserted into the starting line up. The team absolutely fell apart when he went out in the Baylor game. When he struggled with his shot, the team struggled in general. He was the perfect cog to make this machine hum along. This team is desperately missing him.
Roy Williams annoyed the hell out of me sometimes but at least we played with some level of pride when he was here, its like we’re not even trying anymore….maybe this group just needs to go and the new guys like Washington and Trimble can step up because if that isn’t the issue then unfortunately it’s coaching
In can be an inflection point or an end. It can go on a run, it probably won’t happen. But I as A Tarheel fan still believe they can do it. I hope they do just to shut up all the damn so called experts. It’s about passion and integrity, respond or quit!
The best thing about this season will be Bacot going into the rafters.
Coach stand up and take his glasses off , to pace up and down and NOT call time outs. These guys can't be relied to correct the ship. They can't enter a post pass. Bacot needs a 5 foot jumper. How in God's name can you be there 4 years and not have one?
I respectfully disagree with your NIL…as not a dominant cause of the issues…..if you don't think Hubert has to now balance a NIL business model with the players who are receiving monies behind closed doors!!, then you my friend have your head in the sand, respectfully speaking. I agree this is not "all" the issues, but to write off as a "small" issue not only at UNC but all of college is a mistake. If the coach of any team can not reasonably manage these expectations, then this is the result. I feel college coaches will have to have an NBA type coaching style to include "business" instead of love for the game only….having said that, you guys are still great…just agree to disagree here
They got a lucky run last year and cashed out with NIL because they’re not NBA players. Came back and got exposed even more
