North Carolina’s 2024 class is already loaded with the likes of Ian Jackson, Elliot Cadeau, James Brown, and Drake Powell. Hubert Davis and the coaching staff have now turned their attention to Jarin Stevenson. The entire coaching staff turned up for a recent game of his, a clear indication of their desire to target him as their fifth and final high school recruit of the 2024 cycle.
Elliot Cadeau, already a member of that 2024 class, has ties to Sweden through his mother. The Swedish national team has called him to be part of their 14-man roster for the final qualifying window for the FIBA World Cup. The event takes place later in February. The UNC secondary is flush with replacements for the departed transfers. One of those is Derrik Allen, a Georgia Tech transfer, who will join his brother Marcus in Carolina’s secondary for his last year of collegiate eligibility. Will Hubert still be around if we don’t make the tournament this year or next? We the recruits still come if he isn’t.
Now will any or most of them get enough playing time to stick around.
And the great news is only Virginia appears to be the most consisted at winning this year. I have, no doubt, Carolina will bounce back into this thing. We have a good coach and a great group of men.
