Louisville prevailed in a defensive battle to pick up a huge win against No. 11 North Carolina at home, 62-55. Neither team shot greater than 34% from the floor, and the teams combined for 36 turnovers as neither team gave an inch on the defensive end. Both Chrislyn Carr and Hailey Van Lith finished with 17 points, with Carr adding 3 assists and Van Lith adding 7 rebounds. Deja Kelly’s 13 points led the Tar Heels.
