REACTION: North Carolina steamrolls Clemson | Bacot, Love, Davis combine for 59 | UNC Women beat BC

North Carolina beats Clemson 91-71 and is 60-1 all-time in Chapel Hill against the Tigers as they put together their most complete and dominant performance of the season at the most important time.

Armando Bacot backed up his mid-week comments, with a strong 19/11 performance. We’ve wondered what would happen in a game where Bacot, RJ Davis, and Caleb Love were all on in the same game and we found out with that trio outscoring Clemson 59-57 when they checked out with 4:22 left.

A healthy Puff Johnson is imperative for this team to succeed. Meanwhile, Carolina tied a season high in made 3s (15) and tied a season low in turnovers (7).

Tar Heels played their most complete half of the season on both ends of the court in the first 20 minutes, the question was: Could they follow it up with another strong 2nd half?
That answer came quickly with a 9-2 run.

Now UNC needs to follow it up by locking in against Miami on Monday. This cannot be a one-off performance.

Host Isaac Schade takes you through the 4 Corners recap, the Schadey Stat of the Game, as well as recaps of the Lady Tar Heels win over BC on Sunday and the women’s tennis team advancing to the ITA Indoor Championship match today (Monday).

michael riggs says:

Going to beat a dead horse…. How was the end of Dook v Virginia different than our Pitt end of game? Other than they actually called a foul then waived it off which acc now says is wrong. Confused in Greensboro.

Rob M says:

I could see UNC playing very well and still losing to Miami. Not only is Miami playing good basketball, but UNC traditionally struggles with a small guard line up. This Miami team would likely give UNC trouble even in their best years. As for the Nance/Puff debate, I agree with letting Nance go to work in the post IF he is healthy. I'm just not sure that he is. He hasn't played well since his return and we have all seen him play much better. He didn't suddenly forget how. I'd be okay with Davis going with our regular starters with the idea that Nance will play in the post, but he has to have a short leash if it isn't working. UNC can't afford for Nance not to score almost every time in the post if he is giving up speed on the defensive end. This will likely be a chess match between Davis and Larranaga.

Joe Bob says:

Imagine if we played a 4 that was productive in any phase

Jeff Ruben says:

This is a very talented team WHEN THEY SHOW UP TO PLAY
