North Carolina’s season is not yet wasted. There’s still hope for Armando Bacot, RJ Davis, Caleb Love, Leaky Black and crew to make a run. But in order to do so, host Isaac Schade suggests that the Tar Heels channel the spirit of the 1982-83 NC State Wolfpack team and head coach Jim Valvano. That team’s mantra was “survive and advance” and that’s what Carolina has to do now. They’ve got five regular season games left and they have to win each one of them at all costs; doesn’t have to be pretty; just have to get a win. Additionally, Coach Valvano’s outside-the-box thinking allowed him to popularize intentionally fouling to extend the game. That’s the kind of thinking Coach Davis and staff need to employ in their search to create more room for Armando Bacot to operate.
Isaac Schade provides his W2W4 for the game including looking for offensive changes (scheme shifts, personnel changes, or some of both), not letting the Leaky Black / Terquavion Smith situation from the last game become a factor, getting back to the free throw line at a high rate, and getting the assist percentage up over 50%.
The Lady Tar Heels lost at NC State Thursday night, 77-66 in overtime. Carolina held a 10-point lead with 6:30 remaining but couldn’t hold on as NC State scored 40 combined points in the 4th quarter and overtime. Isaac provides his 4 Corners recap and Schadey Stat of the Game.

Keep in mind that State was also a very good team who lost some games when Dereck Whittenberg was out with a broken foot. They were a very good team before and again when he returned for post season play
We should try some zone.
This is just a bad team period. Three fundamental of the game aren't there. They panic with Pete Nance an got a absolute lemon. Bacot is overrated because the ACC had to have someone carry its declining brand. Bacot doesn't measure up to no one his equal. When he is out matched he will usually get hurt or foul out. He hasn't developed no outside shot from 10-12 feet. He can only go one way an once that is taken away he walks or throws up a dove at the basket. This isn't totally his fault because of bad coaching. No way he makes any NBA team playing below the rim.
If Hubert starts Pete Nance again I’m just gonna turn the TV off and call it a season for myself. I can’t stand to watch his goofy brick laying ass any longer

We need personnel changes. Hubert has been stubborn with this lineup tgat isn’t working and looking insane for doing it. What’s the definition of insanity? Doing the same exact thing and expecting a different outcome. Hubert is insane and refuses to make in game or game to game changes. Sorry but he is not a good coach. I’m the biggest tarheel fan ever and pray he can change cause he is an excellent person and recruiter but history isn’t in his favor
Stop it! Valvanno made adjustments! Thurl Bailey was a smart senior, who pulled a jump shot out his 🤬 and could make them. Hubert has got to call time outs quickly, when they get down by 5. Cut momentum, of the opposing team.
I would think we would get in with 20 wins. So four wins including a game two in ACC.
Hey if the tarheels ended up winning the last 5 games this will boost there resume big time.
It’s ashamed you even have to use that analogy. This team should be going into the tournament hoping to be the south or east #1 seed. Instead we praying we can make a miracle run to just get in.🤦🏻♂️
