North Carolina lost at NC State on Sunday and has now lost five of its last six games. Caleb Love led the scoring with 23 points with Armando Bacot pitching in another double-double – 16 points, 14 rebounds, but the Tar Heels didn’t do enough on the road to hold off an emotionally-charged Wolfpack team. Leaky Black was the most impactful player for Carolina, holding Terquavion Smith to 12 points on a bad shooting day, while adding nine points, eight rebounds, two assists, a block, and just one turnover in 38 minutes.
RJ Davis had a tough shooting day and the major changes we expected to see never came.

I told you! Hubert does not call a time out!!!! Jesus Christ this is not the NFL it's basketball! Elite coaching calls time out. I didn't even watch, cause I knew they were going to lose.
They are good at finding ways to lose instead of finding ways to win, especially down the stretch in games. Nance is too hesitant. He's got the Ben Simmons disease. The guards dribble the air out of the ball instead of advancing it quickly before the defense sets up.

Good morning Curly. I couldn't disagree with you more on a couple things. Caleb has been hit on the hands and forearms post shot allllll year. He's flipping HUMAN. He shouldn't HAVE to yell at a ref to do their jobs. As for the "Mondo Moment", I dare say he was HACKED once he gained possession. It shouldn't have been a TRAVEL call. A ref is supposed to be impartial and not touchy feely. Just blow the whistle when it's supposed to be blown.
You can't utilize the size of Nance and Leaky when they act like they are scared to shoot. Nance acts like he doesn't want to be out there. Idk if Hubert promised his family something, but Nance needs to come off the bench. Our chances of making the tournament are slime so, start Stylez or whomever. It isn't going to hurt things now.
I'm sticking with this team until the final horn blows on the season….just like I did during the 8-20 season

Pack it up, the season is over unless they somehow win an ACC championship, which they likely won't.
The one positive take away from this game is that it helped me reach the final stage of the grieving process: acceptance. I've finally accepted that this team just isn't good. They aren't winning any national championship and probably won't even make the tournament. While it's easy to try and point fingers and blame one thing for this team's failures, ultimately, this team has too many problems to count. I'm looking ahead to next season.
One more thing, Tyler Nickel doesn't even look at the rim to shoot. Such a wasted talent 🙄
Not that it mattered but someone has to explain to me how that hanging on the rim wasn't a technical foul on state College.
I still think 20 wins gets us in as long as Dook or UVA is one or two of them.
But it's been quite a disappointing year

How many times did Caleb and RJ drive, miss a layup, and come up empty, compared to their guards, drive and score??? It's time to move on and finish this year the best we can.
Just not our year. No Brady Manek = no perimeter game. Without a consistent perimeter game, the pressure shifts to the inside, which makes it so much easier to double/triple Mondo.
If Burns had not gotten into foul trouble, they would have smoked us. State's guards are athletic and confident.
Overall, we're just average this year. Fact….
Our record simply reflects that.
