The Tar Heels played an exteremely ugly first half, finishing with 19 points and zero assists. Pete Nance got off to a hot start, scoring 9 of Carolina’s first 11, and also dished out a team-high five assists.

The win for the 2017 NCAA tournament was ugly also, but it was a W. As long as UNC has the most points at the end of the game is all that ultimately matters!

This team needs better defensive principles. We switch unnecessarily on everything even when the screen isn’t really set. This puts our Bigs on guards too often. Guys blow by us off the dribble too easily. And when your shooting is poor, this causes us to struggle.
When Mondo is getting doubled, why isn't SOMEONE cutting to the basket for an open layup!!!!
Mondo had drawn 3 defenders inside. Pete Nance just stood all by himself down in the corner by the NC bench. Why, why, why wasn't he rushing towards the basket on the weak side for a pass from Mondo for either a dunk or layup!!!

When nobody is shooting well, the team did about everything else they needed to do to secure the win. Be thankful it happened against Notre Dame and not a better team. With that said, why is it still taking a halftime speech to motivate these guys to play hard? They should have all the motivation in the world right now. They need to play the best they can for the entire game, not just when they're down and need a comeback.

Two times in a row Nickel was wide open and noone passed to him for the shot. Also, Leaky has to cut to the basket when he is open. Get fouled or pass to Armando for the assist.
